Just bought one off eBay for .99 pence but removing the old oven and fitting the new one is not as easy as I thought as it is hard wired in ( cable from oven into white box on wall and another cable from white box to electric socket ).
How much should I pay a spark for this job or is it so easy anyone could do it?

It's easy if you know what you are doing. No offence, but as it sounds like you don't know, then be safe and get a professional to do it for you. Should only take half an hour.0

And given it was virtually free, you should have a bit of money over to pay for a qualified and competent person to do it safely for you0

You will have to check what rating both ovens are. The oven coming out needs to be checked it has been wired in correctly, can't just assume it is.
Some ovens require a 13a fuse to protect it, others need hard wiring with the appropriate fuse at the consumer unit.0 -
You would not be asking the question if you were competent to do the job.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
I did it! I just copied exactly how the old one was wired in, it was just like changing a plug like we used to in the olden days. Both ovens are the same make and same amp and voltage so was quite straight forward.
The chips are cooking as I type...
Who needs to spend a few hundred quid on a new oven?0 -
Well done. You gave it a bit of thought, too many are too quick to call a so called expert.0
