UKPC - Gallagher Retail Park, Dundee

I_Dont_Know
hi, i am looking for advice. I am confused by all the info posted on this topic and wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction.
I parked in the UKPC - Gallagher Retail Park in Dundee today for 45 minutes to shop in the sports shop for my sons birthday. I spent £120. I knew the car park was free for 2hours but didnt know i needed a ticket. I got received a fine for £100/£60.
I heard this may not be legally binding. What do i do to appeal? I cant risk any criminal conviction due to the job i do. Should i contact the sports shop or the car parking company? If so, what do i say to them?
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

read the NEWBIES sticky thread above this one, paying PARTICULAR attention to the SCOTLAND parts
nobody received a fine, definitely not you , as no private company can issue a fine , its not legal to do so
you were given an INVOICE0 -
Don't contact them for any reason and you'll pay nothing. Don't let their toothless threats panic you into paying a penny.0

Thanks Redx, so looks like i contact the shop to complain and hope they cancel when i show my receipt. But other than that i just ignore everything0

You don't even need to contact the shop. Ignore works every time.0
-
Yup - Ignoring them totally is still the best option in Scotland.
See the pre-POFA letter chain thread for a fair idea of the rubbish they will send you over the next few months and search-out the recent Gallacher threads for an idea of the other dirty tricks they might pull.
Disregard the court ones though - Firstly because they chickened-out and secondly because if you don't identify yourself as the driver, they will not be able to do that to you.0
