E.oN v14 is very competitive and, for, me about £11 per year cheaper the the Energy Club's offer. You need to sit down and down your own sums rather than just blindly follow MSE's headline advice. The tariff that MSE is offering also has £60 early exit fees.

Finally, I should add that I understand that E.oN will allow customers to move to their v15 tariff at no cost. This would save me a further £2.51 per year.

Hi firstly thanks for your reply i appreciate the advice,i used my last yearly consumption on the cheap energy club comparison site and the figures were as below
    EDF(PRESENT supplier)£1,453/year ESTIMATED
    EON £1,247/year ESTIMATED COST(TRANSFERING TO)
    ENERGY CLUB WINTER SWITCH £1,125/year
that is an estimated saving of aprox £120/year
    would your advice still stand?
ps all feedback is very much appreciated

What is your usage? I don't see there being that large a difference. Are you sure you are looking at the costs of the new tariffs rather than savings assuming you changed to a Standard one?

    Prices are still falling.

You need to pick a supplier that will let you move across new tariffs for free as they come out. I would let the switch to E.On complete, so you can enjoy a lower rate as soon as possible. If you cancel and initiate another switch, winter will be nearly over by the time it happens.

The reason that this latest works for you is because you are a high electricity user.

So would you say switching to the energy club winter switch was a good idea?(reason for high electricity is probably daily use of an elec shower lol)
