I'm also planning to open a series of current accounts in quick succession (to benefit from switching rewards) but I don't want to close any of my existing accounts. Any thoughts on the following options?
- Open additional, "sacrificial" current accounts with the same bank as my main account (this still requires a credit check), and "switch" from these?
- Open basic bank accounts (intended for applicants with poor credit history) and switch from these? Maybe they don't hit your credit file.
- See if there are any banks that only need ID to open an account, without doing a credit check.0
