Wow, that's brilliant! What a massive saving you've made.

Had to have a little chuckle at your typo (sorry :D) that the swear filter seems to have taken issue with....! :rotfl:

Been to Sainsburys and spent £27  although £14 of that was mothers day stuff. Also spent £15 on petrol but I can claim that back from work as its to get me to my training tomorrow.
Still haven't hear anymore about the ebay parcel that hasn't turned up, she said she'd give it till today so I thought I would have had one way or the other by now  I'll be so miffed if it has got lost as I have searched everywhere for the postage receipt but I think it must have been binned when I tidied at the weekend  ... that'll teach me to tidy, much more sense to leave it messy then things don't get lost ;):D

  • Hi Benben

I'm glad that everything's going well for you at the moment. :) I can't believe you've shaved so much off your mortgage already!! :D

Sorry I haven't posted much on here recently, I have been following your thread daily however things have been rather hectic...

How's DS doing at school at the moment?

Thank you Marc ... ds had been having a really good week this week until today when he kicked the teacher :o:o no idea why, nothing significantly different to any other day :o It is parents evening again on tuesday, I know she's not gonna tell me anything new as I see her almost every day for a progress update anyway, but at least I'll get to see some of his work :D

Payday!!! :j :j :j For some reason its £10 less than normal, will have to check my payslip when I get to work  Other than that, I have already moved the £100 I save into the mortgage pot which has knocked another month off the total :j :j

  • I would never have thought about using any spare money to shave years off your mortgage. I'd have let it stagnate in a dormant account or, worse still, just spent the cash.

This way, the day you finally pay it off edges closer and closer every time you pay anything in so it's almost like a ticker at the bottom of your post with the magic day approaching.

    Great idea, well carried out...:D

I survived the dentist :j :j I was very good and didn't cancel the appointment ;) I need to have a crown and 4 fillings   I have made the next appointment (1 hour  ) for a couple of weeks time where she is going to prepare the crown and do 2 of the fillings :o:o I celebrated my bravery with a packet of choccy buttons when I came out :D

Financial stuff ... I took £20 out the cash machine this morning and have spent £1.20 on the car park at the dentist and £2.50 on lunch.
