It only takes a few seconds to download the free stuff, but don't try and run two anti-virus programmes together. I tried it once, and they fought each other:D
If it is any help, I use:-
Antivirus- AVG (Free edition)
Firewall- Zone Alarm (Free edition) - They used this at my Ben's university too.
Anti-spyware -I use three. AVG & Ad-aware(personal) & spyware blaster. I know you should only use 2 anti-spyware, but I couldn't decide what one to get rid of, so kept them all:D
I also use Firefox as my main browser.
Don't forget to keep getting the Microsoft updates too.benbenandme wrote: »Oh, and don't apologise for butting in!! I love getting replies on here so please stay !!!
I'll be here reading, but I can't always think of useful things to say.RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

Don't worry, nor can I !!! I'm an expert in waffleBeen a bit excited, tho, as I've found another really big m.b. thing
KC ... I really must get going on this too, I have read the stuff a few times and I do get it in principle but I need a bit of oomph to get on and actually do itI think once I get started it will become addictive like quidco etc and I'll be trying to convert everyone I meet, but at the moment I just need the guts to get started

I can't take the credit for it as the majority of that came from The Open University when I did my degree with them. So please pass their link on for protecting your pc. And another post that could be me posting it! Yes - this was my third go - first was on my own, just reading, in the middle of last year, I didn't get anywhere near it. Then in Nov/Dec with GTD, but that kind of faded. And this time it worked. I have no idea why - I think it was something to do with my diary thread becoming a place where dfw-ers discussed m.b.ing, just for a few days it was, but it was enough, and I started up on sportingbet, which was great, and even tho I was making a few dumb errors, still got 100% profit, counting all the rewards for opening accounts and whatnot. Very very pleased, and I hope to get a lot more too!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi Benben
I have been reading your diary since the start and just to say you have inspired me and are doing so well. I have recently separated from a long marriage and have a son and thought I would never be able to manage on my own but I am and your diary helps me loads. I now do surveys, quidco, pigsback (just had a £10 Boots voucher yesterday and a pine cone £4), increased my hours at work, sorted out my tax credits, saving my £2 and it all helps.
Keep up the good work0 -
Hi Benben! Another vote for the freebie anti-virus (AVG) and firewall (zone alarm)! You may also want to check up if your work has anything too. I work at a uni and as long as I am employed there and (even very very rarely) work on work stuff at home I get free norton anti-virus under the uni's licence. I think is cheaper for them to do this than repair all the damage virus infected work could do to the uni systems! Am I right in thinking you are a TA? There may be something similar through your school or at least an educational discount? Worth looking into? I currently use Zone-alarm for my firewall and it's fab. I used to use AVG for anti virus and it was great too.Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Hi - your w/end sounds lovely. I went out to a wedding reception with OH, got back about 1.30 and DD woke up sobbing, she'd woken earlier in the eve and my cousin was looking after her, think she was a bit bewildered where her Mummy was.... she was over-joyed when I went into her... awww...
Can't wait for Moors Valley, but in your earlier post you've set aside £70 for the ticket.... eek!!! Whats that for?
ps - we'll have to go on the train as DD obsessed. I'll be bringing food also. My SIL is coming with her 2 boys, she's a single Mum like us, she's lovely.
