Travel cards

Hi there I am thinking of getting a travel card for use on a trip to New Zealand. I know how you can put money on the cards and even top them up but my question is what if you don't spend everything on the travel card, can I transfer the balance back to my bank when I return to the UK?
Thank you.
Thank you.

If you use the recommended card, Kalixa Pay, the money will remain in Sterling until you withdraw it abroad. So if there's any left over when you get back, you can just withdraw it as cash from a UK ATM (there is a small charge for this) or spend it at shops here.
Better still, if you can, get yourself a Halifax Clarity card - this is a credit card so you only pay off what you actually use.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon

Thanks Benjus. That's really helped.0
