Debit cardFor years and years, I paid with my debit card, but this year I am making the switch to paying in cash, in an attempt to better monitor/control my spiralling grocery spends.
Until quite recently, I was often spending £160 a month on groceries, which, for a single-person household, with no pets, was ridiculous.Because it's fun to have money!

Do gift cards work, well, across multiple shops at a usual spend of £2-4/time? Or do they work best in one main/specific shop, for people usually spending more.
Not everybody's got the same lifestyles.0 -

I've never had a credit card, bit scared to in case something happens and I forget to pay it or it bounces or something. I like to know I'm all paid up every day of my life as much as possible.

With every gift card i've used you don't lose any unspent balance between shops.0 -

After all, you're going to buy the groceries anyway...
I rarely use cash if a card can be used.
