Question Regarding Insurance For Test Drives

  • Just a update I sold my car on first viewing (auto trader proved better than ebay) yesterday.
Buyer had his own car dealership so he was prepared with documents.

DVLA advised that I had to make sure I had a proof of postage from the post office to show it was sold and slip sent to DVLA in Jan to get refund for Feb. I suppose you could back date the sold date on the forms.
  • I think the proof of posting needs to be dated in Jan to get a refund for Feb.

If you didnt sell it and post it off yesterday you missed Feb's refund.

The date sold means very little.
