  • For a joint account?

Again, true. I've got no experience in that matter.

    It's false. ;)

It's been covered earlier in this thread.

The subject account pays 5% interest on balances up to £2000. AFAIK you do not have to switch your current bank account or have any Standing Orders or Direct Debits and the only requirement is to pay in £500 every month.
So I wonder if it is possible to have more than one TSB Classic Plus Account?

You also need to go paperless to qualify for the 5% interest.
  • I'm not sure how because I applied at the start of this month (so did not get in before "the deadline") for a TSB account but somehow was able to get a 2nd one by applying again, making sure I was logged out.

So now I have the 2 accounts show up in my online banking and have 2 cards, all thanks to advice from this forum.

It is much appreciated by regular posters who give so much of their time to this forum, when someone bothers to return with an update and acknowledges the help received :T

Exactly the same. Opened 2 accounts (1 in wife's name) about 2 weeks ago, open 2 more tonight. No problem, I now have 4 single accounts, all opened on-line, took about 5mins each!

And again, thanks to everyone on this forum for all their advice.

  • I opened my first account in December and could open a second one in January. Both show up in online banking.

I opened one up two weeks ago and have jut this very second completed opening a second one online, both sole accounts.

Does anybody know if the funding requirements can be completed by internal transfers or do I need to bounce the £500 out to my santander account and back into the other tsb account?
  • Internal transfers work (in addition to the other criteria i.e. register for Internet Banking, paperless statements and paperless correspondence)

I opened my 1st account with TSB in December and another one a couple of weeks ago.

Is it possible, given the new rules, that they may only pay interest on one account?
