Hole in washing machine seal again!

We have just (about 4 weeks ago) changed the seal on my washing machine only to discover this morning that a hole has developed in the same place as it did in the last one. Can anyone advise? Is this a common problem. Thank you for your help.

Hi,
take it there's no rough edge on the bowl?
What I would do is turn the seal and put the offending hole at the top, and try to be careful trailing clothes out, incase something is catching.0 -
I'm afraid that looks self inflicted to me. Something with a zip has caught it during loading or unloading, something has been shut in the door & torn away when agitation starts, pet has nibbled it, child has played with it.
Looking at the seal I doubt you can turn it round.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
I have to agree. Looks like something sharp has caught it.0
