Hole in washing machine seal again!

We have just (about 4 weeks ago) changed the seal on my washing machine only to discover this morning that a hole has developed in the same place as it did in the last one. Can anyone advise? Is this a common problem. Thank you for your help.

  • Hi,

take it there's no rough edge on the bowl?

What I would do is turn the seal and put the offending hole at the top, and try to be careful trailing clothes out, incase something is catching.

I'm afraid that looks self inflicted to me. Something with a zip has caught it during loading or unloading, something has been shut in the door & torn away when agitation starts, pet has nibbled it, child has played with it.
Looking at the seal I doubt you can turn it round.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
  • I have to agree. Looks like something sharp has caught it.
