Money Saving - The Cheap Energy Club Question

I waited and waited (waited a bit more) (bit more waiting) then ........finally switched via the MSE tool (EDF fixed to Eon fixed v14). Blow me if Eon then don't offer v15 which for me in another £30+ saving eight days later!

The solution just 'switch me to v15' isn't an option. So I had to cancel my switch (which I did just now).

Question - how long before my Cheap Energy Club account resets to no active switch (so I can start again)? I want to reapply for the Eon v15 tariff via that route.

many thanks for reading,

Chunks

I am struggling to see how you get a £30 saving given that the difference between v14 and v15 prices is just a shade off the gas unit price. For my consumption of 2400kWhs of electricity and 10400kWhs of gas, the annual saving is £2.51. Higher energy users have reported £4. Remember comparison calculators show savings based on 'x' months remaining on fixed tariff and 12'-x' months on the standard variable tariff. Jot down the 2 tariffs side by side and you will see what I mean.

Thanks for that. Sadly the comparisons edf fixed via the MSE Cheap Energy Club tool compared v14 versus my edf tariff just 8 days ago as (say in round numbers to keep it simple) a £160 saving. This morning v15 versus again my edf tariff shows £190 saving so I jumped on the phone this morning to cancel the switch. The customer service guy didn't mention the tiny actual saving so I am a tad confused.com. Anyway, done now so my orginal question stands dear MSE.

It can take a few weeks for suppliers to pass on this information to us, so to speed things up, drop us an email to collectiveswitch AT moneysavingexpert.com and we'll resolve this for you.
