Does anyone have a link to an official version of "Whatsapp for PC?"

I have found links on Google but some of them look a bit dodgy to me!
Any help/advice very much appreciated.
Thanks
pam

  • Hi Pam, there isn't WhatsApp software for the PC, but you can use WhatsApp on your PC browser.

1, you need the latest version of WhatsApp on your camera phone
2, you need the Google Chrome Browser
3, visit web dot whatsapp dot com) (I'm a new to this forum, and can't do links)
4, it will display a QR code (a square barcode) on the screen.
5, open whatsapp on your phone and from the menu choose 'WhatsApp web', (opens the camera - point it at the QR code on screen)
6, you will now be logged onto whatsapp on the browser on the PC (so long as your phone is still on and connected to the internet.
    7, Have fun!

Works really well. Much better to type on my PC than the phone!

Try Viber.....It has a stand alone desktop app that works really well. Great for just dragging pics and video into and sending to contacts.
Most people I know have both Viber and WA for that reason.

  • A friend of mine found a "whatsapp for pc" software and after installing it he had two viruses on his computer so be careful. Currently that web version is the only "offical" whatsapp for pc's.
