New shocks/springs will often see the ride height altered.
I'm sure you understand the point that I'm making, Justin - just because you don't hear about something, doesn't mean that there isn't a problem with it.
So anyone driving in West Virginia on a rainy day should be aware that loads of cars may have perfectly legal bald tyres.
We have digressed quite away from having non-recommended sizes of tyres on the rear of the OP's car but like many other things in life it's a matter of being aware of the possibility of a problem - no matter how small.
Then you can make an informed decision after weighing up the risks.0 -

Justin, have you still not noticed that, where "safety innit" is concerned, no sense of perspective is allowed - no risk is too small, no deviation from perfection acceptable, and those who suggest otherwise should be cast into the bowels of hell.
It does sometimes make me wonder how those people ever get to go on forums - surely there's a small but definable risk of their computer bursting into flames and toasting them? (especially if it's a Sony laptop)
eta: cross posted with ice. Weighing up the risk is the important bit:
bald tyres = big real life risk
extra 10mm rubber = negligible / zero real-life risk
Sony vaio = unacceptable risk0 -
Oh my Gawd - I need to get a bigger fire extinguisher.
Thanks for the timely reminder.0 -
Better make it a full automatic sprinkler system. Preferably with fusible sprinkler valves rather than electronic control - in case the fire trips your mains.
Can't be too careful, y'know0
