Hi
Before we switched to cable, our television reception (which was fine) came from an aerial mounted in the loft.
I've now decided to connect the kids' televisions to this unused aerial via freeview boxes. I've looked at the aerial and the cable connection at that end is by two simple screw connection points, so I can just strip back the cable and don't need fixed connectors.
Can I connect two televisions to the aerial?
Are there different qualities of coaxial cable, and how are they described?
Thanks in advance

I gave up jogging for health reasons; my thighs rubbed together and my knickers caught fire!

if you connect more than 1 lead to the aerial you will half the signal strength
better to use a a splitter amp in the loft and connect each TV to one of the outputes
I use satellite grade co-axEx forum ambassador

Just to add, the 2 way amplifier doesn't have to be in the loft, it can be in the room where the aerial terminates, it can be difficult in providing a required mains supply in lofts.
Yes, good quality Satellite Grade Cable is required, it is screened and will cut out any external interefence.0 -
If you have a loft aerial you may find, especially if your are splitting the down lead, that it is inadequate for freeview.
Also, an amplifier may not solve your problems, there comes a point where it just amplifies all the noise as well.0
