Question about roman blind rod tape

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone with sewing experience could shed some light on sewing on rod tape to a roman blind. I Can't seem to find out if it requires just one row of stitching or two. Ie: above and below the rod pocket??

Two rows of stitching doesn't seem right somehow but the man in the haberdashers said to sew above and below.

Anyone?

How to do it without tape,just make fold in the fabric.

Thanks both for your replies but I have sorted it out now. I was using ready made rod pocket tape though.
