Has anyone ever had the issue of foam coming up the other side of the sink in those double basin kitchen sinks?
You wash plates and foam comes up the other plug hole?

Path of least resistance. Put the plug in first. Or a longer downpipe from each plughole.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Hi,
well, if it's plumbed like this,
then the force of water will drive some along the pipe and up, until all has escaped down the down pipe.0 -
Everytime I wash up it happens.0

Our last house we lived in for about 28 years did a similar thing, it only happened once though. I let the bath water go (upstairs) and the bubbles came up the downstairs toilet sink. I have always wondered how this happened:o0

Thanks.[Deleted User] wrote:Hi,

Is it down to poor plumbing?0 -
Yes poor, thats not a good setup.
What you need are the 2 pipes coming from the sink wastes to drop further. and ideally not an equal T also...
In that picture the water will exit one pipe and want to go straight on instead of dropping down to the drain. Causing it to come up the other plughole.
You want more of an F.. done a pic instead... I have this setup in the utility and no backflow from either sink.
