First time buyer with husband as second applicant

Hi All,
I have a few questions:
1. My husband solely owns our current house. We wish to get a joint mortgage but are yet to put our current house on the market. Can we provisionally get a mortgage in principle whilst we are in the process of selling the current house?
2. If we apply jointly with me as a first time buyer and husband as second applicant, would the application be affected as he obtained a satisfied ccj which has been paid and resolved over two years ago?
3. Following on from the last question, if the mortgage lenders are limited due to the ccj, can someone point me in the direction of lenders who do consider ccjs?

1) Yes
2) if you jointly buy, the mortgage will be in joint names, and both your credit histories will be considered
3) make an appointment with an independant mortgage broker and /or post on the mortgage forum0 -
The date of registration, amount and reason for the CCJ, together with the other case details, particularly the loan to value will determine if there is a lender for this.
As G_M suggested, obtain all three versions of your credit file and put them in front of an experienced whole market broker.I am a mortgage broker.
