Feather & Black

First off - hello all. I'm new.
Now then, Feather & Black (Incorporating the Iron Bed Company) is a bed and bedroom furniture and accessories provider, with shops all over the country.
I selected a bed from their range back in early April (5th to be exact) mainly because I could get 40% off both the bed and mattress. Together this came to about £900 after the discount, with a £49 delivery fee.
Now I had to pay a £290 deposit on the day to secure the bed, and was informed that the bed will be delivered in 4-6 weeks, 2 weeks longer if I happened to live in the deepest parts of Scotland or Wales.
The rest of the money was to be paid just before delivery is arranged. I received a call 9 weeks on informing that it was ready and they will arrange delivery shortly, so on the 05 June I paid the rest of the balance.
Well a few weeks passed and I received no follow up call, so I started my barrage of calls trying to find out what was happening (around 12 weeks had passed up to this point). Finally, after a few weeks of calling I find out that they have lost the bed and will be sending a new one, and they they would reimburse my £49 delivery fee.
A few weeks later and still nothing, so I phone the customer services department and they said they would also include a bed linen set, but were quite rude to me, and were adamant that they would not give me any more compensation.
More weeks passed and I have still not heard anything, it is roughly 19 weeks now since I ordered my bed and nearly 8 weeks since I paid my full amount.
So there's my story, apologies for venting... but what I was actually leading up to is... what should I do?
The Customer services department won't give me anything more than the £49 refund and a set of linen. Should I accept this? Or should I cancel it and request my money back plus interest?... which I doubt I would get. Or would I have better luck writing a letter to the manager of the customer services department?
Any help or suggestions would be gratefully received
Thanks you all for reading
Chris

I think their offer is quite generous (their bed linen is not cheap!), they do not have to give you anything.
If you want to cancel the order then that is your choice, but they are under no obligation to pay you interest.Gone ... or have I?0 -
I agree.........0

Thank you, I guess I need to be more rational about my expectations - but I can't help be incredibly annoyed about the fact that they have had my hard earned cash, and I've had nothing but poor customer service back.0

Cancel the order and ask for a complete refund (they are way over priced anyway). You can find much better deals elswhere.
I can't see you getting any interest off them though.
Good Luck0 -
