Waitrose changed atm service

in Credit cards
Hi chaps, near the end of the month I sometimes get cash with my credit card to avoid going overdrawn, anyway, I often do this at my local Waitrose atm but tonight it spat my card back with a "cashzone" slip saying "wrong type of card" I guess its like shops where you can't get cashback on c/cards but I thought any hole in the wall would be ok ... is it because cashzone is not a high st bank ?

Despite have worked in the ATM arena in the past I've never heard of Cashzone. It may be that they only take debit cards, the ATM should be labelled with the types of card that are valid for use in it.0

Why not pay for your groceries with the card instead of cash as not to go overdrawn?0

Are the CC cash charges and interest fee (charged daily i assume) less than the fees to go overdrawn?
As above,m Buy shopping with the card and you wont go overdrawn and wont have CC cash advance fees.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Thanks nicholaswitchell ... as I guessed.
The cash costs me 3% (co-op c/card) ... I pay for most thing with my c/card but do need some cash in my pocket for incidentals ... thanks to all for taking the time.

Other people have decided to make it much more difficult for you to obtain the correct answer.
my local cashzone ATM allows cash withdrawals on credit cards0 -
Well this one doesn't and I can't find a way of checking with them as to why they don't. Searching on Google really only offers up their details for retailers wanting to install their machines not 'customers'.0

Don't be too eager to thank him, the evidence is stacking up that he's just building up a post count and has nothing to contribute apart from spam when it starts to appear.0
