HSBC Flexi Loan

Options
Hi All,

Sorry if this has been asked to death. I've used the search but not able to find answers to my specific question...

I found out I had PPI on two HSBC Loans one of which was a Flexi Loan. I explained I had no knowledge of the PPI and so was disputing it.

They've given me an offer for the one loan but declined the flexi loan stating basically there was an information pack that contained the information about it and that the premiums paid would have shown up on my bank statements.

Ok so even though I don't recall it (it was back in 2003) they are saying I should have some knowledge which is fair enough. However I've just discovered at the time of taking out the loan and the PPI I was actually out of work for several months and therefore the PPI would have been on no use. I didn't say this in my original complaint because I didn't realise.

So my question is if I go back to HSBC now stating I wasn't working will they take another look at it? and also if on the loan application I stated I was working would that constitute some form of fraud?

Many Thanks in Advance

Are you sure your memory is working correctly. I cant see you getting a loan if you were out of work to be honest. So yes, if you were not working and you said your were on the application form then you would have been telling porkies (fraud)

How have you 'just discovered' this from 12 years ago.

You also would have to provide some sort of evidence of a miss sale.

How long is it since they denied your claim.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

    .

I can't be sure what I said on the application form but I was made redundant in the November and had a job offer in mid December to start the second week in January.

I only realised the dates earlier as I was going through my CV.

I got the denied letter a few days ago.
