Very quick question regarding self assessment

Hi
I am filling in my self assessment and am not too sure whether to tick yes or no to this:
My 'basis period' (the self-employed period for which I am taxable) is not the same as my accounting period.
I registered as self employed in November 2013 and had two jobs from April 2013 to November 2013.
Should I be ticking yes to this statement as my self employed status has not been a year April - April yet? I want to do my accounts April - April to keep my returns easier in the long run.
I know some people will say get an accountant but I cannot afford it at the moment, I will be getting one in the future though.
Thank you all for your help

I would not go into using a different accounting period as you will end up complicating things.0
