Which is safest way to pay?

Hi
just looking for some advice. I am going to book a holiday tomorrow, the holiday is with Cosmos holidays, using Monarch airways, with holiday and flight being booked as a package deal. Cosmos holidays are ATOL and ABTA protected. My question is on what is the safest way to pay so that we are protected should anything happen. I do have a credit card, but not enough credit to pay for the entire holiday, I do have the cash in the bank to pay for the holiday using my Visa debit card. So, do I
1. Pay the deposit using my credit card (mastercard), and the balance with the debit
Or
2. Pay the entire thing via Visa debit card.
Which is safest, or does it make no difference?
Thank you very much for your help in advance xx

Pay the deposit on the credit card will do, as long as it's at least £100.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

The holiday you mean? I would think so.EssexExile wrote: »Pay the deposit on the credit card will do, as long as it's at least £100.
There's no minimum deposit amount required for any section 75 protection applicable to the transaction. So long as the price of the package is more than £100 (and less than £30K), you could pay £1 - or even less if they'll take it(!) - by credit card and enjoy section 75 protection on the total cost of the package.0 -
Oh thanks for that EE & YB, although it crossed my mind I didn't actually realize that I could just pay a bit on the CC.0

Monarch has a very bad reputation for delays and cancellations, so finding a safe way to pay is the least of your worries.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
