advice needed on pt ex pull out?

Well further to my other post

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=513742

I've decided to pull out of my house purchase with DW. Now I was pt ex'ing my home with DW and DW had already accepted an offer on my home. So has anybody pull out and if so has they been any legal problems because of this? I have yet to sign contracts so as far as I'm concerned I should be ok. I know I will loose the fees that I have already paid out (survey, mortgage survey, serches etc...) but i amd aware that I will get back 50% of my resurvation fee (£125). So i'm about £900 down but the risk was to great to continue.

Another thing is would I have a case to reclaim all my money as I beleive I was mislead in pursuing the house as all the sales staff told me i would be ok to park my van on my property every time I mentioned it (and I mentioned it all the time). DW have refused to remove the covenent or even amend it to only allow me to park on my drive (which is where it would be). By DW not enforcing it means nothing as all it would take is a neighbour to do that and I'm screwed. Was thinking of going to the local paper as the weight limit (1000kg) is stupid as most cars weigh more than that. What do you think? As long as my lose in no greater than what I've already worked out I'll be ok but If i have a case to get it all back I should try right?

cheers
