Post IVA Credit File
Good Morning
I entered in to my IVA in December 2009 and was able to offer a F&F on this in Feb 2013 so this should be cleared from my credit file in December this year. When I received my completion certificate I got copies of my credit file and many of the details/dates were wrong... I spent a few weeks/months contacting the various companies and now it looks pretty clear with all of my previous accounts (now closed) showing a default date in December 2009.
My only concern is when I log on to the likes of noddle it shows a default date of say 9th December 2009 however in the image which shows the monthly payments some of them show D for default even up to 2013, is this of any concern to me or will they drop off because the last recorded default is 2009? So +6 years means they end this December.
Many Thanks for any help in advance
Daniel

The account drops off 6 years from the initial recorded default date.
Subsequent Ds each month are status updates, not new defaults, so don't extend the time they remain on your report. The whole account and all history markers, everything, even those after original default, are removed 6 years from the original.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thanks for your prompt response, this is exactly the answer I was looking for!
This is what I had hoped so in December it should look much more tidy!
Thanks again.

Good. That's the point in getting all those dates corrected. It ensures you get a clean report after 6 years with none of the old bad stuff lingering.
Then lender etc looking at your report will make decisions based on any positive information there rather than the hangover from the past.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thats good to know,
So just to make sure I am clear I have an account with a default date of December 09, the account was closed in 2011 but in December 2015 everything even the markers will disappear, but the account will remain or go?
Many Thanks0 -
All traces of the account will disappear.
Basically anyone checking your report will not see any evidence that the account ever existed.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
