Hi.
I had ppi on a mbna credit card back in 2002.
I have put a claim in and got rejected.
Place of work ....if I got sick would pay me Full pay for 6 weeks and half pay for 6 months..with me still being paid would the ppi have paid out if i was sick at the time?
Thank you.

This indicates that there is not much in the way of overlap as you only had 6 weeks full pay before dropping to half. So, its not a strong complaint reason in your case.

To be honest, your complaint is weak.
If you complain in the first few months that you didnt tick the box, then your complaint, even without evidence or evidence to the contrary is strong. However, as time goes on, it becomes weaker. Each statement shows the PPI was paid. Someone paying something they didnt agree would normally raise the issue. As the years pass, the credibility of "dont recall ticking the box" becomes less.
If it was a postal or internet application and the box was ticked, it is still possible to be mis-sold but you cant make a number of allegations (no sales rep present for example to "persuade" you to have it). You are reliant on an error in administration or documentation. MBNA dont feel they have any errors and have rejected it. If you disagree, then you can always refer it to the FOS.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. This sounds like a non-advised sale so it was up to you to decide if your sick pay was sufficient. And yes it would have paid out on top of sick pay.0
