Ikea is good for cutlery etx
I think they do a handful of decent stuff but you have to be selective
I went yesterday and the following out of many products caught my eye (not saying ill buy them but best out of their other stuff and cheaper than jl/dwell/habitat/muji/and sometimes ebay):
- solid pine frame bed double 104
- solid pine bedside 35
- memory foam double mattress 100
- good size wardrobe in white with mirror 140
- grey 3 seater sofa (&bed?) 725
Do people really like leather sofas? I had them in my old flat and they were so COLD
Wool rugs are so expensive. ..that will be ebay
I'll be looking at muji/habitat/heals/dwell/jl on ebay
- would you hire those delivery guys that advertise on ebay?
I was doing costings yesterday. ..I can't afford
- spare bed stuff
- dining table and chairs (I eat on sofa anyway)
- dish washer (happy to hand wash)
...IF my probably quite generous budget goes to plan
Which? says bosch is best for washing means? Can't afford a basic miele0 -
I would definitely avoid buying sofas until you've lived in the house for a while, even a short while, as it is very easy to misjudge sizes or where you want them to go, as another poster has already said.
AO is a good website for white goods and people seem pleased with it and its next day delivery service.0 -
I don't like leather sofas either, MIL's made rude noises when you sat down!
I'm happy with my LG direct drive washer, it's economical with water if you're on a meter and it's the quietest I've ever had. Prices have come down over the last couple of years too.0 -
100 seems too cheap for a mattress, even if its memory foam, the springs inside matter too.0
