Hi, I took out a new credit card to enable me to spread the cost of a trip as the flight is £1100 but the limit they gave me was only £800 so I'm curious if I paid £300 to the card would that then give me £1100 to spend on there or would they reject the payment?? Thanks....:)

They might well reject the payment (if that's possible) or freeze the account. They might accept the payment, but refuse to authorise a transaction of more than the credit limit. Or you might "get away with it". Pre-loading is usually against the T+Cs.
Can you part pay by CC and pay the rest by another means?
No harm in asking for a limit increase, but some won't consider one if the account has only recently been opened.0 -

Hi James,
Is there anyway you could use £300 cash and the rest of the flight can go on the credit card? Not sure if this is possible online but at a travel agents then can usually take a few forms of payment
