Switching and cancelling switch?

Hi Forumites
I am a few weeks into switching energy suppliers, I see MSE are doing a energy club switch event and have found much cheaper deals, am I able to cancel the switch that is in progress to take out the cheaper deals? (I am not in a fix/exit fee situation either)
Cheers

It depends when your cooling off period expires. Check your e-mails to see if they give you a date. You should be able to cancel the switch right up until that date. I cancelled with co-op and it was no problem at all.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

Your cooling off period will be fourteen calender days from the date you made your application. From what you have written it sounds like it will probably have expired.
If you switched online then it will be in your terms and conditions. If your switch was made over the phone and this cooling off period was not made clear to you then you could try arguing that you were mis-sold under Ofgem retail market review guidelines. To be frank it isn't likely to get anywhere though as you would have to prove that this information was completely inaccessible to you.
If you have no fix/exit fee then you may just have to allow your supply to start with your new company and then reapply for another company. You will have to be on supply with the first company for 28 days before you can switch again.0 -
Since co-op had a large backlog before they processed applications people ended up with cooling off periods that ended a month after their initial application, but 14 days after it was processed. Thanks for the information, looks like I have missed the cooling off period by 2 days

I will have to let supply run for the 28 days and then I will switch.
Thank you again0
