Parking ticket appeal-Claim form

Last year I received a private parking "ticket" whilst parked in a visitors bay in a private residential area monitored by Parking Control Management. My visitors permit was on display but had slipped out of view. I appealed directly to PCM and sent them my permit, the appeal was rejected. I then used a parking ticket appeals company who recently ceased trading. I have now received a Claim Form from PCMs solicitors (Gladstones) in which, the "particular of claim" just says "parking services" with the date, amount, reference with no breakdown of how the amount has been calculated. I do not want to pay the amount which has now gone over £200 but I am not confident enough to defend without advice.
I am happy to post a copy of the claim form if you wish

You can safely ignore debt collecor letters. Since you have missed the appeal window due to the ticket appeals company no longer trading you have effectively not made a secnd appeal. My advice would be to ignore anything from now on except a LBCCC or real court papers.I married my cousin. The OP stated this was a claim form from Gladstones who are Solicitors. This has moved beyond letters from debt collectors.0

That will be Gladstones acting as a DC at this time (is how I read it). It doesn't sound like an LBCCC, and it certainly doesn't sound like a real court claim form.
OP needs to confirm though. Perhaps scan it (redact any personal or identifiable info), upload it to a hosting site and link it here? (Change http to hxxp - you're too new to be able to post real links).0 -

That's what post #5 of the NEWBIES sticky thread is for...have a read of the links there.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Interesting. PCM started the odd Court Claim when they were in the BPA (I think the FOI request from 2012 to 2013 showed they started 4 claims), but I haven't read of any since they joined the IPC. Assuming this is one of their new "Parking is permitted for ..." signs, are they really going to want to get one of these "tickets" in front of a Judge and convince him it really was a genuine offer to park for £100 or whatever the sign stated? And also with Particulars of Claims stating just "Parking Services"?
To the OP, seeing as you were using a Parking Appeals company, I assume you didn't appeal to the IAS? First off, you will need to go to the http://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk website to register and login using the details on the claim form. You then need to say you will be defending the claim in full so you get your full 28 days to prepare your defence.
As C-M mentioned above, take a look at her very comprehensive "Newbies" thread, where post #5 has details on how to defend such a claim.0 -
One more thing a year ago PCM was joined BPA and used POPLA not IAS so defense will based on Protection Of Freedom Act 20120

Thank you for your help on this matter
I have written to Gladstones a Part 18 Request for Information with no response. I have therefore put together a defence with help from sample defences I have researched online.
I would really appreciate anyone willing to take a look at it for me before I submit it before the weekend.
Many thanks in advance0
