Help please for G24 parking charge notice.

Options
Hi everyone, I'm hoping you will be able to tell me how to word an appeal.
I visited Wickes, parked, and shopped there. My house isn't too far away so I walked back with my purchases as they would have stuck out of the back of my car. I returned within the 90 min parking allowed and went back into the shop as I needed to return one item. However I stayed inside browsing too long and have been issued the parking charge for 111 mins.
I have been sent photos if me entering and leaving.
I am thinking of arguing the point that I visited the shop twice but will that stand if they dont have photos of me leaving and then returning in the car. I don't have my receipts but my bank statement shows the 2 transactions.
There are the appropriate signs at the entrance and around the car park.
The 'offence' was 16th Jan and the letter dated 23 Jan (received 26th) So when does the 14 days to pay start from, and is this stopped when I appeal?
I'm hopeless at writing letters etc so any help would be great, thanks.

please read the newbies thread near the top of this forum , tells you all you need to know and includes a template letter to go to G24

By all means try and argue your case with the landowner or retailer too, showing these receipts , try to get a landowner cancellation as this will knock it on the head (why have you not already complained to the retailer about this ?)

I doubt G24 will have photos of you at all, its not cctv, more likely to be anpr unless they had an operative taking photos ? if they have the operative should have warned you about leaving the site with the car still parked , to mitigate the losses

so send the template appeal to g24 , plus complain to the landowner

if G24 refuse the appeal, you then have 21 days to appeal to the IAS, but the IAS is a kangaroo court so dont expect to win there

nobody here would tell you to pay, this is a money saving forum , should you decide to not pay then you go into IGNORE mode for 6 years , unless G24 tried an LBC or court papers (they havent up to now)

Read the NEWBIES thread now I hope? It is all there for you already, not that you will win at IAS stage (but who cares - you don't pay!). :)

I can easily spent a couple of hours in Wickes and would be happy to pay for extra parking on leaving, but, if there are no facilities so to do, regard the time limit as an unfair tem in a consumer contract. If they only offer 90 minutes free parking then they must make arrangements for you to pay if you need longer to complete your purchases.

Write to Wickes complaining like mad. Insist that they cancel the charge or you will take your business elsewhere as you cannot afford the parking charges. Screwfix often offer free parking.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Wickes Facebook complaints have worked quickly in the past, for other posters.

Firstly my apologies for starting a new thread, I meant to just post a question.
I've now received a reply from G24 who have sent a long letter basically saying my arguments are unfounded, but if I send copies of my transactions at the store they may as a 'gesture of good will' re evaluate my appeal. So I presume this is my next step and hopefully that will be the end.
One thing that I dont understand is that they dispute ' not a genuine pre estimate of loss' saying they have obtained legal advice and their charges are justified as 'liquidated damages' ( where the issue of pre estimate of loss is not relevant). What does this mean and would I definitely lose if I couldn't show my receipts.
