It is pretty clear to me - the word and indicates you are receiving something in addition to CB ESA.

Well good for you. The people I showed it to aren't exactly stupid. I guess you're an expert in their at best misleading wording. WHY can they not just say it is income related, NOWHERE in that letter did it state that.

Well good for you. You've already had one go at me.

Oh dear. I have not had a go at you, just pointed out that you have failed to read your letter correctly. These things happen, but now you need to stop blaming other people and address the error you made. Get together all your statements for the DWP officer and they will decide if any repayment is due, then you can discuss with them a reasonable rate of repayment.

home improvements such as a gate, fencing, burglar alarm (I was burgled and it has aggravated my ptsd), replacing dangerous flooring (I slipped when it was wet and broke a rib) etc, also for counselling for my ptsd which I cannot get through the nhs here.

Firstly, you can take the counselling bit out as this is not included in the list of disreguarded loans. Are you saying that you can justify spending more than £6k on the rest? How long ago was the first payment made? Have you spend any of it on the above at all (maybe the alarm?)

If you can show evidence that you have started to spend some of it on essential improvements, than maybe you'll be fine. If you haven't, you might have a harder time to justify why your father would have continued to transfer money as a supposed loan when it has just been sitting there.

If unsure best to ask the DWP to clarify before acting.
