there are cheaper products than the mr. venty ones,
just looking for any recommendations/ reviews as now really fed up with the problem and have vowed to do something about it preferably prior to winter setting in
    Nice to save.

Don't remind me. I need to urgently sort out the pending nightmare of cold winters and condensation. However, being on only a 12-week contract with no idea of whether or not there will be any kind of extension, I am having to think hard about how to finance an installation of an EcoVent or similar system.

how did you get on with your contract?
have you decided on any installation yet , as i am still trawling internet
    Nice to save.

We now have a new manager at work, so will be speaking with him next week regards a potential new contract.

At that point, will then be in a position to start looking at these vent things.
They do look quite easy to self-install, so may look for a 2nd-hand unit. As they don't draw huge amounts of current, they can have plugs on instead of having to be hard-wired.

I used the 'contact me' bit on the website.

I am looking at other makers, but at the moment my work contract has been extended to end of January 2016 (which is right in their quiet period) so not looking at expense such Mr Venty or similar at the moment.

    Hi Andi,
Did you get a quote for the nuaire? I've been quoted £900 for the Mr. Venty, looking for some comparisons.

    Cheers,
  • Hi, i have properties in London and had problems with mould and condensation. The solution is good ventilation which sounds silly but it's true. The positive input ventilation system does work 100%. I have had one installed in all my properties with problems and havent had to do anything else since. The best quote and advice to which I used was stopmouldandcondensation quote

Do you go for Mr. Venty or Nuaire?
  • I'm looking at the Mr Venty or the Nuaire Flatmaster. It would have to be installed in a cupboard in the bedroom. Could anyone tell me how loud they are? I think the Nuaire says 49db, which is obviously quiet but could be a pain when getting to sleep.
