I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything when I did a forum search.
When applying online for a TSB current account do they do all of the ID checks online? I'd like to open an account for the 5% interest but my nearest branch is about 45 miles away. Also do they require any Direct Debits to be step up on the account?
Thanks

I had to go in with my passport and a statement with my address, but I think it depends on a few things.
I have been at my current address for 18 months. So maybe that's why I had to go in.All that glitters is not gold.0 -
If they can, ie they're happy with what they find from the CRA/FPA searches. When applying online for a TSB current account do they do all of the ID checks online?
Any DD, and other, requirements will be detailed in the one page T&Cs. Take a quick look? Also do they require any Direct Debits to be step up on the account?0 -

Like most other banks, they will try online ID checks, but if that fails you will be asked to provide documentary evidence. Also do they require any Direct Debits to be step up on the account?
Thanks
Does it mention DDs here?

I've opened two accounts with them, all online, not asked to produce any ID or docs. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0
