Parking Eye overstay

I accidentally overstayed (by approx 45 mins) the free 3 hours in a Parking Eye car park. I had no change and was unable at the time to download the app to pay by phone, but I took the details and paid for 1 hour when I got home, approx 1 hour later. I suspect they will send me a fine anyway, so how should I handle it? I'm a week overdue to have a baby, I could really do without the stress of a lengthy appeal process, do you think an email would suffice?
Thanks
Thanks

You can't appeal by email but their online appeals page is easy. I have already written an appeal in the NEWBIES thread and you can just copy it, but chop out the ranting longer bits to it's under 2000 characters (or whatever PE's appeals page allows) and then put it in online. No need to change it or add anything, except to shorten it by chopping some of the end bits out. Don't write your own version about what happened because most people then give away who was driving! Also PE don't cancel if they see an honest appeal, written about what happened.
That is what to do, if you get a PCN in the post in a week or so. It's not a lengthy appeals process because PE cancel when they see our wording!
Good luck with the little one.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks so much, that's really eased my mind. I was trying to trawl through the newbiesthread but I think I must be suffering from baby brain, it all seemed extremely complicated!!0

complain to the landowner citing the EA2010 , demanding that any charges be cancelled , this would nip it in the bud0
