Best AAA batteries to get for DECT cordless phones?

Hi all,
I have some Philips 511 cordless phones and recently I leave them on charge for maybe a day sometimes and when I go to use them they often ring once then go dead. They have 650mAh AAA batteries in at the moment so was looking to replace them.
I'm not sure what would be the best batteries to get, preferably not too expensive. My local Home Bargains sells JCB ones in a pack of 4 for about £4. My Dad swears by Eneloop which sell ones for DECT phones but they're 550mAh?
Philips also have AAA rechargeables I thought about.
I don't know if the mAh is a major issue as in had to get the same amount and also if some batteries are better for DECT phones than others?
Can anyone suggest anything please?
Many thanks

Doesn't really matter to be honest if you don't leave the phone laying around outside the charging station for days.0 -

The batteries in them look like the original ones and the phones are probably about 10 years old now.0 -
We've just bought new Panasonic DECT phones and in the instructions it states -
"USE ONLY rechargeable Ni-MH batteries".
Later it also says "Replacement batteries may have a different capacity from that of the supplied batteries". Therefore a certain capacity isn't crucial.
So basically any reputable make of AAA rechargeable nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH) batteries will be ok. Just be sure to replace them as full sets.
Never mix old and new or batteries of different types or capacities.
Hope this helps.Never trust a financial institution.

Thanks Broadwood, I've seen some uniross ones on ebay for only a few quid that might hopefully do the job so might go for those.0

I'd go for the Eneloops - they're only a couple of £ extra, last longer and don't drain when not in use0

No point in buying enloops if the phones are left in the charger for the majority of the time, i just replaced my Panasonic batteries with these a couple of months ago.

I tried larger capacity batteries in BT Dect phones and they wouldn't charge for some reason.
Dropped some of these in a few years back

which were the same size and no problem.
Have also used in a panasonic set of my mothers.
Have recently switched to a Gigaset phone set and they were supplied with 450mah batteries and last way longer."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

I'm using a Gigaset handset with N300A IP base and was using some rubbish vapextech batteries (im expecting the vapextech reps to come out of the woodwork soon to refute my suggestion). Cheap but performance was crap with early reduced capacity and general poor performance.
I recently purchased some eneloops and they are working extremely well so far after two or three months. Close to 1000mAh capacity for the AAA's.0 -

A lot of new phones use GP ni-mh, mine included.
Do a search for GP AAA and see what comes up.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
