Boiler quotes

Finally got some quotes for a replacement boiler, with two different options.

Option 1 is for Worcester 30cdi system boiler with Worcester 250l unvented hot water tank. This would replace my conventional boiler and installation of the new tank in the loft. Pipework will be relatively easy as the loft is directly above the rom the boiler will be in. Cost, fully installed, is £2771.60 for the boiler and £2226 for the tank.

Option 2 is for a storage combi, Gloworm ultracom 2 35kw, price fully installed £2612.

To me, both seem a bit high. This is in Edinburgh

BG quoted around £4.5k for an ordinary Combi, which was their usual silly price.

What do people think?

Thanks

I'm getting new heating and have had quotes from between £4300 to £7400. BG was £7400.

Been quoted £2500 for supply and installation of Worcester-Bosch 30 Compact CDi combi boiler to replace existing one. Have looked at the list of models in this range and am mystified over the differences between models?

Ideally need to have hot water available in more than one room, as my son has a combi in his flat and the hot water slows to a trickle if someone is having a shower. However we like the idea of constant hot water, so were considering the storage combi.
