Eon 1 year fixed rate - new tariff available

Hi

Having recently moved from Eon's collective switch tariff to the one year fixed rate v14, they have just bought out v15 which appears on the comparison sites to be cheaper for me.

Remember, you can switch to a new tariff with Eon without penalty.

yes switched myself this morning. I believe it's the gas side that's very slightly cheaper from v14.
  • tariff units exact same to me, so no savings no difference between v.14 and 15

Switched to the 1 year fix v15 from the MSE collective switch tariff. Same standing charge and discounts but slightly cheaper unit prices. No exit fees payable since I didn't move to a different supplier.

Will only save £10 a year or something stupid but it also extends my fixed tariff period by a month and a half so that's good.

But it is £10 you wouldn't have had otherwise! Better in your pocket than theirs! :D
  • Thanks for the info. I will have to call EON tomorrow.
    SPC 08 - #452 - £415

Not as good as my V9 for electric only . Only £5 to switch but I will keep my options open and wait a month or two !

Lots of collective switching schemes available to the UK as well as this site !

There is bound to be another round of "price cuts" based on electricity, after the first dip at publicity using gas.

E.On is finally back in the game. Hasn't been anywhere near the top of the comparison table for about two years.

Actually £9 more for me; the only worthwhile switch away from MSE EON deal for me is MSE Sainsbury deal! I've got 2 weeks to decide whether to switch again now or hold out for an even bigger saving, which I suspect may come soon:j

The difference for me between v14 and v15 is £2.51. Yes, gas is a shade cheaper. For me, this demonstrates why companies with high tariff exit fees, and those that charge exit fees for an internal tariff change, are not a good bet at the moment.
