Best time to compare?

I’m just trying to think when the best time of year is to compare energy prices. For example, if I do it now on the energy saving club, I will be entering my kwh usage for my last billed period which is probably the highest of the year.

Is this the best time to compare with such high usage to give a true reflection on what I’m likely to pay for the rest of the year?

You use your yearly average to compare not a single period .
Ignore the direct debit estimated cost all that counts is the tariff charges and any discounts .

    That makes more sense :)

How do you think its best to work that out considering I haven't completed a full year yet? (8 months in)

Just use the don't know in the comparison site .
Usage does not really matter the key is the tariff .
