Scam email?

Hi,
I have received a email from Epson which looks suspicious!
"Epson Connect Printing Service has not been used in the last year and we shall deactivate it 30 days"
There is a link to show me how to avoid the above. The also know the name and model of my printer.
I have no idea what they are talking about as I use my printer on a regular basis without any problems. I have had this printer for maybe 2/3 years and never had this kind of email.
Can anyone please tell me if this is a scam?

It will be a scam, delete it.0

It looks like Epson Connect is a service which allows you to print from outside the home and lets you use devices such as smartphones. Basically you're sending the information across the Internet, not just within your home network.
If you always print from within the home, it does sound possible that it is a service that you set up with the printer but you haven't used.
So it might not be a scam. But I still would never click on a link in an email.
I would go to the epson.co.uk website and see if you can find the information there.0 -
Does the link (actual link - not what is displayed in the email) point to epson.com or epson.co.uk? If yes then it's probably OK; if not then it's a almost certainly a scam.0

As Jivesinger says it sounds like the facility that HP provide for my wireless printer - I don't ever use it on purpose but I accidentally printed something to it remotely last week so I expect that'll keep it live for another year! But whether the link is valid or not is another matter, so do what bod says to check.0

If you hover over the link (without clicking) where does it say it's going?
Phishing emails or similar will often say PayPal in the link but is actually going to send you to shfhreknvueur1859.com!0 -
Thank you all for taking the time to reply.
I just deleted it.
