Balance transfer from Opus to Halifax - possible?

As above please. I am trying to transfer my Opus balance to a 0% interest deal so I can get it paid off quickly and not be screwed with high interest. I applied for a Halifax card after researching on here, and it went through all OK. However, is it actually possible to do a BT from Opus to Halifax or are they owned by the same group, or what?? Reason that I ask, is despite my application being successful, when I was reviewing the terms it mentioned a total payable figure of approx £1330, and as i only want to transfer £950 this would suggest that it's applying interest. Now it could be that I was misreading the T&C's but it was slightly vague hence the above question! Thanks.

Perhaps a useful tool on this site would be one that lists / matches cards whereby one can conduct BT's from one to another. Couldn't seem to find anything like this?

    a little about us
Credit is provided by NewDay Ltd. NewDay Ltd and NewDay Cards Ltd are companies registered in England and Wales with registered numbers 7297722 and 4134880 respectively and form part of the NewDay group of companies.
Halifax is a trading name of Bank of Scotland plc. Bank of Scotland plc is one of Lloyds Banking Group plc's group companies.
    - information very easy to find actually.

Read again, more thoroughly this time.
It's just an example for £1200 borrowed at normal conditions, without 0% introductory rate.

Not exactly what you want, but very close: What counts as a 'financial institution'?

Thanks, so they are different companies and it should not be an issue.

I think I did misunderstand the T&C's though, yes. I thought I had already I just wanted to double check it.

Thanks, although I still can't work out from your post if they are owned by the same company or not as it doesn't really say.
No mention of Opus I mean.
Do you want each company to list all companies that it isn't owned by?

Opus is a part of the NewDay group.
Halifax is a part of Lloyds group.

Are you implying that there can be yet another company that owns both NewDay and Lloyds groups?
Forgive me if I have overlooked, but all I want to know is can I do this balance transfer without incurring interest?
If they were parts of the same group you wouldn't be able to make a transfer, regardless of the interest.
