Hello,
I'm looking for some advice as I don't really understand my gas/electricity meter readings - I'm looking to switch suppliers as I think I'm paying to much with Npower.
There is only Myself and my fiance in the house and we both work 5 days a week and our bill is £136 a month.
What information do you require from me to work this out?
Any help is much appreciated.
Regards,
Luke

I'm currently with NPower and although I pay per quarter when the bill comes, mine works out at about £138 a month and that's for a 4 bed house with 2 adults and 2 kids, so I would say definitely switch.
I know I'm overpaying and just applied for my first switch yesterday
:T
I'm assuming you're on dual fuel with NPower (like me), in which case you will find the information you need to switch in section 2 and 3 of your latest bill.
Hope that helps x0 -
You require years usage or just put don't know in the comparison sites .
The estimated yearly cost or direct debit amount should be ignored the key is the actual tariff costs and any rebates .0 -
Thanks for the replies.
I am on the dual fuel and the last bill I had was on 22/06/14 and everything was estimates so they can make up whatever they like.
I have now learnt to try and submit a meter reading every month, I think that is good advice for anyone. Oh i'm also £1011.84 in credit, but when I called npower about this they said I owe them £13.42p I dont understand how but anyways I have since switched to First:Utility and pay £86 a month...for now.

Uswitch is not a power company. Your going to be in a mess if you don't get to grips with this. Take monthly readings and the formula on your bill work out how much it is costing you. (About £60 month is average for a well insulated house) otherwise your going to get stung.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -
We paid about £66 a month on a 2 bed terraced house with 3 adults and one kid. That was a dual fuel fixed tariff with npower. We were in credit when we switched last month. Your credit may be due to not submitting meter reading for a long time. Ask them for a current bill and see how it compares.SPC 08 - #452 - £415
SPC 09 - #452 - £2980 -

Npower produces a bill at least every 6 months. You should have one from November 2014. Was that an estimated one too?SPC 08 - #452 - £415
