Praise for Ebay seller

Options
I recently purchased some very expensive perfume on Ebay.

It arrived around a week later - I wasn't in any particular rush for it, so that was fine!

When I opened the box, the seller had included an apology note; They had been on holiday and said they were sorry that it was posted so late... and also included a cheque for a reimbursement of £5 for my wait!

Just goes to show, there are some very nice, genuine sellers out there in Ebay-Land - willing to go above & beyond... :T

Anybody else have any praise for a seller?

I stupidly listed a couple of items the week before I was due to be induced. I think I'd gotten to the point where I was convinced I was going to be pregnant forever lol! I apologised to the people and said I'd get the parcels out as soon as possible. They were only about two days late. My husband sent one the option below what I'd stated (I was sending them via different methods to get the lowest price for each - baby was two days old so I didn't plan on going out myself!) so I refunded £1.

Both replied to the messages I'd sent, telling me not to worry about it at all and congratulating me. It was nice to get a pleasant response from them :)

ETA: That was praise for the buyers, not myself lol... both men, so not like they had that urge a lot of women have to get all soppy about a baby.

    That's lovely!

Praise to you also...for keeping them informed and giving them a small refund. We need more of this :T

I like to be fair to my buyer and always refund the difference if I have estimated the postage as a small parcel but managed to get it at the large letter rate. I always send a message saying I have refunded the difference but not many buyers respond.

I always think they would have been fast enough to contact me if they had not had the difference refunded.

One of my best feedbacks though came from a customer this week- I sold a pair of football shoes, buyer paid on Monday, I posted them at 2.15 on Tuesday afternoon and at 4pm the same day I got feedback saying 'Excellent item, fast delivery'.

He lives about 150 miles away, I doubt they had got there in 1hour 45 mins. !

    Lol - that's crazy.

And of course - people are so quick to complain but never acknowledge kindness. :(
