Hi all
Just looking through options to finance university and I'm a little confused


I've read a story on the main MSE website
but it seems to say that I cannot get a grant if I live with my parents.


Is this true or am I just reading it wrong?

I am in no way knowledgeable on this, but I think it might depend on what course you are doing to what you will be eligible for.

I'm thinking about doing an online distance learning BA Hons in Graphic Design - Part-time. I live with my parents and I'm on a low income and have been told I'll be able to get a tuition fee loan from student finance, but not a maintenance loan (to pay for living, travel, supplies)

Thanks for that.
I'm long term ill and unable to learn to drive so will be reliant on public transport. Train alone would be over £1000 a year, without the bus from the train station to the university
