Found these two sheets of green material in my loft today:

Seems like a strange material.. quite heavy too...

    That looks like old fashioned laminate underlay to me
    Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

    Looks like rough finish fibreboard to me. That's pretty heavy stuff too. As far as I know it's made predominately from compressed wood fibres, and the green stuff is moisture resistant.

    My first thought was for fibre board.
    I can afford anything that I want.

    obviously take necessary precautions , but it`s identical to the underlay we removed last year under some old laminate

    That looks like fiber board I have to say.

    Depending on its age etc it could contain Asbestos yes ! treat it with care and if you go about moving it wear a respirator. Do not attempt to break it up.

    If it's out of the way then leave it alone and it will be perfectly safe, if you intend leaving it up there then you could seal it with a dilute pva water mix.
