If by 'nothing' you mean 'nothing', the laptop battery is dead and the charger is not supplying power - check the fuse in the charger mains plug.0

After checking the fuse... there should be a light to show external power; also put your ear to the external power brick - will tell you if its doing something or not.
Then... unplug from mains, take battery out. Press power button for 20secs.
Try with external mains ONLY (no battery). Anything?0 -

The charger was making a long squeak when I put my ear to it, would you say the charger is damaged?MarkCobain0 -
Any noise probably means its working. Any sign any lights when you plug the charger into the laptop? (with battery removed).holdontolife91 wrote: »The charger was making a long squeak when I put my ear to it, would you say the charger is damaged?
