    Hiya everyone :hello:

Well I had a bit of a surprise today.

I'm joining in on the 2015 declutter and have been trogging along quite nicely. I have a drawer in the cupboard in the sitting room which really needed sorting, I have been putting it off, and today I decided to tackle it.

I used to buy my tobacco in bulk abroad (much cheaper) and keep the current box in this drawer, amongst lots of other things, and then 'pay' myself into the box every time I started a new packet. When I stopped smoking there was one packet left in the box together with some papers and spare lighters and I just left it there. Imagine my surprise when I lifted it today and it felt heavy, with something sliding about in it. So when I looked I found .........£96.24 :j

My gran used to say 'where there's muck there's money' :rotfl:

Hope you all have a thrilling Thursday

  • Wow -- lovely to hear lynnejk :) x
  • Boots Savings - £3-25.

Total so far this month £82-58.
  • carbootcrazy - it was one of those puzzle ball globes that you put on a stand - it was new but I noticed when I was listing that even the used ones are worth selling - the pieces are plastic & stand the test of time. I sold a few puzzles on EB a few years ago that I'd picked up in the CS - the ones with more pieces sell well.

lynnejk - what a lovely surprise!

  • Well no more money in to add just yet, but went through my shoes and found some worth selling so will try and find time to ebay this evening.

I am however doing very well in my personal challenge of bringing own breakfast and lunch to work, 9 work days in now - definitely saved a lot already - not adding it to this challenge though as just using the money i am not spending to prevent me using my overdraft for the first time in a very long time.
