Slow booting up of new PC

Thanks Leomburke, As soon as i press the power button, the screen stays black except for 3 function keys (F1 post, etc). If you try to any function key, nothing happens. After about 10 mins, it seems to boot showing you the memory info etc then windows appear. does this make any sense?0

So, does it lose the time and date when this happens? if so, your original theory is probably correct, or battery may need reseatingEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
