Switching Accounts - Other Payments

Hi All,

Wonder if someone can advise, Im looking to switch from my Lloyds Account which Im paying £25 per month for bundled items I dont really get value from to a Halifax account where they will pay me a fiver!

I was looking to switch now whilst the offer is on but have an outstanding cashback claim with Samsung who have my current bank details and I dont know when they will payout.

I guess the question is, what happens to my old account? I assume Halifax close it and it will be bye bye Samsung refund money? Or would Lloyds accept the funds and pass onto me?

Any payments arriving in the closed account for the next 13 months are forwarded onto the switched account.
