UKPC PCN hospital car park

Earlier this evening I parked in a 20 minute off bay at our local hospital. I was parked there less than 20 minutes and when I returned there was a parking charge notice on my windscreen with the parking attendant still next to my car. I asked why I got it because I was less than 20 minutes, he said it was volunteer parking there and pointed to a near by sign. It was clearly painted on the ground next to the bay "20 minute drop off only" and he said that was old markings(they had been repainted since my grandmother was in there last about 9 months ago)!! I have been googling all evening trying to work out what to do and I am left feeling confused! I have emailed the PALS at the hospital as I read that they may be able to cancel it. Do I need to appeal it with UKPC sooner rather than later? Hopefully PALS will get back to me tomorrow.

Read the Styicky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the page. This explains everything you need to do.
Basically, wait for the NTK, do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving, don't ever 'phone a PPC.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

How long do I have to wait for the NTK? So I don't appeal or anything until I get the NTK? Still waiting for the PALS at the hospital to contact me, might go in and see them this afternoon while I am visiting as they don't answer the phone or respond to my email!0 -

Did you not find that in the sticky?
I produced an easy reference guide via my 'Walk Through' which Coupon-mad included in the sticky. It's bullet point #6 in my 'Walk Through' which covers the 'how long' in your post.
Sorry, but we can't go typing out the same reply dozens of times each day, that's why the sticky was created. Almost anything you need is included there. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
